A House Full Of Men Review

‘A House Full Of Men’ tells the story of Kittu, a 25-year-old girl from Lucknow. The story is light-hearted in tone and easy to read. There is drama, tears, anxiety and the whole gamut for every filmy lover.

Kittu misses her mom who passed away long ago. She feels misunderstood and feels unhappy with her lack of confidence and tendency to clam up.

The language is simple. You feel like you are watching the events unfold right in front of your eyes. I love Joshi’s wit and banter. She paints some realistic characters. It’s easy to relate to Kittu and her plight.

A quick page, the book gets you hooked from the line ” Women speak two languages- one of which is verbal.” She speaks for all women trying to find their voices, who fail humorously and get back up in spite of it. Her writing somehow reminds me of Anuja Chauhan and my school days. A fun and relaxed read for all Millennial Indians.
