Ode To An Air Conditioner

There She sits
Mounted on the wall
Majestically looking on
Me like a Queen
Giving ear to
Her people’s grievances.

A witch who can
Beckon winter
Upon the touch
Of a button!

A wondrous salve
To my sun scorched skin
Whose touch
Lulls me to sleep..

A defender of poor souls
An aura of hope
That surrounds me ..

Bless the Soul
That created thee!
Bless thee
Generous Queen!

  2. Creative analogy. The sign of a good writer is when he or she can take up mundane of the stuff and flip it around, and present it in a way that is beautiful. You just did that. πŸ™‚
